When requesting a refund, please remember that the compensation to Hayek Services is not just for the time spent at your wedding. Our services also include information provided through our website, e-mail correspondence, phone conversations, office meetings, preparation of paperwork, and reserving a date and time on our calendar, which often means we have had to turn down other business for that time, which is unlikely to be replaced on short notice. Other business expenses include office rent, advertising, utilities, and website expenses. We also donate a substantial portion of our revenue to a variety of charities. A deposit is required to hold a time slot on Judge Hayek's wedding calendar. If your plans change and you notify Judge Hayek at least 2 weeks before the wedding date, a refund of all but $30 will be mailed to you, assuming we have your mailing address. If your plans change and you are able to notify Judge Hayek between 2 days and 2 weeks in advance, a partial refund (usually 50% of the total fee) may still be available, if the paperwork has not yet been prepared, and there has been limited time devoted to meetings, phone calls and e-mails concerning the plans for the day. When a cancellation notice is received less than 2 weeks before the wedding, but at least 2 days ahead of the scheduled date, partial refunds will only be provided when there is a written request describing circumstances that would appear to justify a refund. The request should also be accompanied by the appropriate mailing address for the refund. Normally refund checks are payable jointly to the bride and groom. No refunds will be paid for weddings cancelled the day of the event or the day prior to the event. Please send correspondence concerning refunds to: Hayek Services | |
